Canada Global (Web News) After a recent police investigation, a resident of Kingston, Ontario, is being charged with firearms offences.
On January 20, a search warrant was carried out by the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit at Rideau and Montreal streets.
Officers searched the area and discovered and took possession of a 12-gauge shotgun.
A 41-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with breaching probation, failing to follow a release order, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public peace, not having a licence and possessing a firearm other than a restricted or prohibited weapon.
The suspect was also detained on a separate outstanding Ontario Provincial Police warrant.
