Woman arrested at Bearspaw school for alleged knife threat

Canada Global (Web News) A lady was detained by mounties after a knife threat was made to an adult victim at an elementary school near Calgary on Tuesday.

Around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, the Cochrane RCMP said they responded to a report of an altercation at an elementary school in Bearspaw during which an adult was allegedly threatened with a knife. No harm was done to the sufferer.

Although confirming that a woman was detained in connection with the alleged assault with a weapon, mounties added that the investigation is ongoing and that they could not release the woman’s name until the accusations against her were processed.

Cochrane RCMP Cst. Bonnie Sauve verified that the suspect and victim are not related and that neither is a teacher nor a student.

They are strangers to one another. They are not connected to one another in any way, Sauve added.

Officials refused to specify which school the incident occurred at.
