Canada Global (Web News) Environment Canada has issued a special weather warning for the possibility of freezing rain, predicting “a rainy and windy Saturday” for Toronto.
The meteorological service said that freezing rain is probable early on Saturday morning and that it will likely swiftly turn to rain as the temperature rises above zero.
On Saturday morning, it was stated that travel might be impacted.
Ten to twenty millimetres of rain are anticipated to fall.
Also anticipated for Saturday are strong winds with gusts of up to 70 or 80 km/h.
Local power outages may occur due to the predicted severe winds, according to Environment Canada.
A high of 9 C and a low of 0 C are predicted for Saturday.
