Canada Global (Web News) Two people were killed in a car accident on Highway 401 in Toronto, provincial police officials said.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. near Bayview Avenue in the eastbound lanes of the highway, according to updates on the OPP Twitter account several hours after the crash.
Sergeant Kerry Schmidt said officers saw a black vehicle heading east
He said the vehicle was being driven by a 35-year-old Mississauga woman and collided with a 53-year-old man driving in the eastbound lane.
Both drivers died at the scene, Schmidt said. He said that the matter is being investigated.
