Saskatoon outdoor rinks open for the season

Canada Global (Web News) According to the city, Saskatoon’s 51 outdoor community rinks are all open for the current season.

The rinks are open to the public and are owned and run by volunteers from local community organizations.

The city stated that some hours are set aside for skating use only, but added that, outside of those hours, the rinks are available for hockey, shinny, or recreational skating.

On the City of Saskatoon website, a comprehensive list of venues and public skating hours may be found.

Anyone interested in volunteering to assist with flooding, shovel snow, or monitor public skating is urged to get in touch with their local community association or the community development office at 306-975-3378.
