Canada Global (Web News) Human remains and a second vehicle have been found in Lake Ontario this year.
West of Amherstview on Loyalist Parkway, motorists should anticipate seeing a significant police presence at the Collins Bay boat launch and the nearby Lake Ontario.
Police divers discovered another vehicle in January while retrieving one from the lake. It was discovered that this car had human remains and had been submerged in water for a long time during the follow-up examination in April. The deceased’s identity is unknown at this time.
Divers will remove the remains on Wednesday, with the aid of other support units like OPP urban search and rescue and OPP marine units, and the vehicle will be hoisted onto the barge on Thursday.
Under the supervision of the OPP criminal investigation branch, the Lennox and Addington OPP crime unit is still conducting its investigation.
It is advised that vehicles avoid stopping along Highway 33 because doing so could endanger their own and other drivers’ safety.
