Canada Global (Web News) After 18 years of marriage, Christine Baumgartner, the wife of actor Kevin Costner, has filed for divorce.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, a spokesman for Costner, 68, verified the information.
In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, the agent said, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired that have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
As they traverse this trying time, “We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected.”
According to TMZ, Baumgartner, 49, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the basis for filing for divorce despite the fact that the divorce’s origin is unknown.
At Costner’s property in Aspen, Colorado, the Yellowstone actor and Baumgartner were married in September 2004. Grace, 12, Hayes, 14, and Cayden, 15, are their three joint children.
With his first wife Cindy Costner, Costner has three further adult children: Annie, 39; Lily, 36; and Joe, 35; and he also has a son, Liam, age 27, with a former companion, Bridget Rooney.
