Canada Global (Web News) The federal administration decided on Wednesday to pay public sector employees’ salary for the current month before the Muslim holiday Eid-ul-Fitr.
The choice was made during a meeting between Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Salary payments were later revealed in a tweet by Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Minister of Information. According to what she reported, on Wednesday, the prime minister gave the finance minister instructions to pay salaries and pensions before Eid. And the finance minister commanded that the prime minister’s directive be immediately followed.
Eid is expected to fall on either April 21 or April 22 and that salaries and pensions will be released on April 17 rather than May 2.
