Canada Global (Web News) As part of a relationship with Turkish franchise partner Blue Foods Ltd., Tim Hortons has launched its first location in Pakistan.
Long lines outside the store were seen on camera by the local media, and some pundits claimed that the Lahore location set a new record for Tim Hortons’ first day of business.
In the upcoming years, the coffee company and Blue Foods Ltd. plan to add hundreds of new locations around Pakistan. This month, two more stores will open in Lahore.
The Tim Hortons brand is owned by Canadian restaurant company Restaurant Brands International (RBI), which is attempting to emulate the success of its recent Indian debut in Pakistan.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Tim Hortons to Pakistan. By serving a variety of Tims signature coffee blends with bold and rich flavours, freshly prepared crave-able food with localised menu items, and prominent Canadian branding in the restaurant design to celebrate the brand’s heritage, we think we can replicate in Pakistan our recent successes in other international markets, said Rafael Odorizzi, APAC President, RBI.
The UK-based coffee brand Costa Coffee opened its first location in Pakistan in December 2022 at the DHA Lahore Phase 6 Raya commercial complex. This year, the business’ franchise partner Gerry’s Group plans to open a second location in Karachi.
