Canada Global (Web News) On March 23, Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, would get Sitara-e-Imtiaz, making him the nation’s youngest cricketer to do so.
Babar Azam, who was outstanding with the bat and captaincy in the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), will be honoured with the award, which was announced for Babar last year on Independence Day.
Babar had demonstrated his abilities as a captain, in addition to being a great batter, despite his youth. Babar’s effective leadership allowed Pakistan to participate in both the ICC World T20 2021 semifinal and 2022 championship game.
In PSL 8, Mohammad Rizwan and he both displayed aggressive bat behaviour. Babar had 522 runs in 11 games with a respectable average of 52.20 and 115 inventive runs.
He also disproved the claims of his detractors regarding his ability to score swiftly by continuing to play a significant part for the Zalmi.
Former cricketers who have earned the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award include spin master Abdul Qadir, star all-arounder Shahid Afridi, famous batter Younis Khan, and former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.
