Zardari says PDM will file no-confidence motions in KP and Punjab assemblies

Canada Global (Web News) Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the PPP, announced on Thursday that the PDM multi-party alliance has decided to file motions of no confidence in the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assemblies.

The former president argued that conducting early general elections in the nation is not beneficial to the PTI nor to democracy in an interview with a private news channel on Thursday.

If the PTI is successful in dissolving the Punjab and KP assemblies, the PPP leader further declared that they would run in elections. We’ll check to see how many MPAs the PTI can elect.

If the assemblies are not dissolved, he continued, they will still act as the opposition.

The PPP claimed that Punjab’s administration should be replaced because the coalition parties already had a majority and may enhance it in the near future.

Pervez Elahi will be discussed, but we also have other options.

The PDM has seats in KP as well, but some of our friends were misdirected and we only need to bring them back, Zardari remarked in response to a question about the no-confidence motion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the PTI has been in power since 2013.

In response to accusations that he engaged in horse trading when a motion of no confidence was brought out against Khan, Zardari questioned which National Assembly members the PDM had purchased, noting that these issues go beyond buying votes and dissolving assemblies. He insisted that there was no need for him to buy anyone.

According to sources, numerous PTI legislators in Punjab have cautioned the party’s head, Imran Khan, against quickly dismissing the provincial legislature at the moment the PPP co-chairman made his speech.
