Today’s optional training session for the green shirts will be followed by their opening exhibition game against New Zealand on Friday.
On October 6, the Pakistani team will play the Netherlands to start their World Cup campaign.
Before the national cricket team left for the coveted title, Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, urged the cricket supporters for prayers and well wishes.
The captain posted photos of the national squad on X, formerly known as Twitter, along with the message, “As we prepare to compete in the World Cup, we ask for your prayers. I have no doubt that you’ll keep showing me your love and support as you always did.”
