The Federal Court rejected the orders of the Cabinet to ban plastic

Canada Global(Web News) The federal court has dismissed the Cabinet order declaring plastic products harmful under the Canadian Environment Protection Act.

Single-use plastic items banned by the government, including straws, grocery bags and takeout containers, will be affected by this decision. The government can only regulate under the Environment Protection Act those things which are considered harmful under the Act.
This matter was raised by the Responsible Plastic Use Coalition and several chemical companies that manufacture plastic.
