Canada Global (Web News) In a sedition case, a court in the nation’s capital is anticipated to file charges against PTI politician Shahbaz Gill today (Saturday).
Tahir Abbas Sipra, an additional District and Sessions Judge, will hear the matter because he has called the former Imran Khan aide for an indictment hearing.
In a prior hearing, the court delayed Mr. Gill’s indictment until March 11 after granted him a one-time medical exemption from appearance on a request made by his legal counsel.
The defence attorney had also asked the court to halt the proceedings pending the top court’s ruling in the murder of Arshad Sharif.
He was taken into custody in August of last year on suspicion of sedition and inciting the populace against government institutions.
