5.7 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of Pakistan

Canada Global (Web News) On Wednesday, 5.7-magnitude tremors shook various areas of Pakistan.

The earthquake’s depth was 187 km, and the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad reported that it had a Richter scale magnitude of 5.7. The Hindukush area of Afghanistan was the location of the earthquake’s epicentre. Islamabad, Mardan, Swat, Peshawar, Charsadda, and other cities all felt the tremors.

Reciting verses from the Holy Quran, people fled their homes in fear. Additionally, the earthquake shook some areas of neighbouring Afghanistan.

No recorded property or life losses were caused by the earthquake.
