The Brain Chip Implanted Patient Began To Control The Computer With His Mind

Canada Global (Web News) Elon Musk says that the first person whose brain was implanted by the company has fully recovered and he can control the computer mouse with his mind. said in a space event on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the patient has apparently recovered completely from neurological effects. The patient can only move the mouse on the screen while thinking. Elon Musk said that Neuralink is now working on making it possible for the patient to click.

After receiving approval for human trials last year, Neuralink last month successfully implanted a ‘telepathy’ chip in the brain of a patient (whose identity has not been disclosed). It uses a robot to surgically implant a brain that controls the intention of movement. The system consists of a computer chip attached to thin flexible threads that are connected to the brain by the robot.

Robots remove a small part of the skull, attach the chip’s threadlike electrodes to a specific part of the brain, sew the part of the skull together, and finally leave only a scar where the skin was cut. Elon Musk said that the procedure is done within 30 minutes and does not require general anesthesia while the patient is sent home the same day.
