The 2026 Fifa World Cup Will Be Hosted By Canada, Usa And Mexico

Canada Global(Web News)On Sunday, FIFA released the schedule of the World Cup in 2026. It states that 13 matches will be played in Canada and Mexico while the remaining 78 matches will be played in the United States.

With 45 countries yet to qualify for the men’s soccer World Cup, the full picture will only be revealed once the draw for the tournament is made in early December 2025. The report released on Sunday mentioned the names of the cities where the World Cup matches will be held. The matches between 48 teams will be played from June 11 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, which is ranked 15th in the world. The second match will be played in Guadalajara on the same day. Canada, ranked 48th, will begin play on June 12 at BMO Field in Toronto.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino said the 12th-ranked USA’s campaign will also begin on the same day at the Couch Stadium in Inglewood, California. 10 opening matches will be played across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver, with two more opening round matches on June 18 and 24 at BC Place Stadium.

The quarterfinals of the tournament will be held in Boston, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Miami, and the semifinals will be held in Atlanta and Dallas. The final will be played on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, while the second-place match will be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
