When contacted, PTI Information Secretary Rauf Hasan said that PTI’s stance of starting a dialogue process between PTI and political parties including the establishment is not new.

Imran Khan himself had asked political parties and the establishment to negotiate. When asked if it is true that PTI leaders are now regretting the events of May 9, Rauf said that first of all, PTI’s policy regarding May 9 is that the matter should be discussed freely. An inquiry should be conducted by the Judicial Commission so that those responsible can be brought to justice.
He said that we all love Pakistan and no one would want to harm Pakistan in any way. He said that what happened on May 9 should not have happened.
PTI’s information secretary said that since he assumed his current charge, he has made it clear that PTI is a political party that abides by law and order. She believes in political struggle within the limits of the constitution.

On the other hand, according to the party sources, despite all the efforts, no contact could be made between the PTI and the establishment. The PTI, including Imran Khan, desperately wants to end its differences with the establishment, but the events of May 9 have made the situation dire for Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

Canada Global (Web News) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s sentence imposed on him in the Toshakhana case was stayed on Tuesday by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The IHC made public the brief decision it had reserved a day earlier ordering the authorities to grant the PTI leader bail.

The court declared that the specifics of the sentence suspension would be included in the comprehensive decision that would be delivered later.

Sources claim that the PTI leader has been instructed to provide a Rs. 100,000 surety bond in lieu of the bail.

The decision is a significant success for Khan in his legal battle against his conviction and sentence imposed in the Toshakhana case.

Khan was found guilty of corrupt practises related to the state gift repository earlier this month, and a district and sessions court in the federal capital sentenced him to three years in prison and assessed a fine of Rs100,000 as punishment. This decision disqualified Khan from running in the upcoming elections.

Immediately following the trial court’s decision on August 5, the former prime minister—who has been barred from holding any public office as a result of the conviction—was detained and has since been held at Attock prison.

The case was heard by a five-member panel presided over by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan. Mr. Chaudry’s attorney requested an adjournment of the hearing at the beginning of the hearing since the Islamabad High Court (IHC) is anticipated to rule on the issue in a few days.

Canada Global (Web News) Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the vice chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was ordered to be released immediately by the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench on Tuesday. He had been detained for allegedly taking part in the violent protests on May 9.

Since his initial detention, Qureshi, a former foreign minister, has been detained numerous times.

The bench ruled that Qureshi should no longer be detained in accordance with the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance (MPO) after hearing a petition challenging his detention.

In addition, Rawalpindi deputy commissioner’s MPO instructions were ruled unlawful by the court that handled the matter, Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz, who also ordered that Qureshi be released right away without being asked to provide surety bonds.

The government was represented by Assistant Attorney General Abid Aziz Rajouri, while Qureshi’s daughter and attorney Taimoor Malik attended on his behalf.

Justice Aziz pressed the law enforcement official about whether Qureshi had made any speeches or organised any protests. While ordering the law officer to submit evidence against the PTI leader, the judge stated that “No political leader can control his words in a political gathering.”

The official requested two days at this point for the filing of the evidence. However, after receiving instructions from the government, the court instructed him to update the court within one hour. The hearing was then postponed for one hour by the court.

A report on the allegations against Qureshi was given by the Punjab police in the interim.

Nine cases have been filed against Qureshi across Punjab, the report said. Five of these cases are registered at police stations in Multan, while four of them are registered in Lahore.

The daughter of the PTI leader requested that the report be submitted.

Let the past be the past, Justice Aziz said; it shouldn’t happen again because it’s not joke.

Jahangir Tareen decides to establish new political party

Canada Global (Web News) Jahangir Khan Tareen, the estranged leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has chosen to found a new national-level political party, according to people familiar with the issue.

The sources claim that PTI leaders who are dissatisfied with the party are also anticipated to join the new system. In addition to those, Tareen is anticipated to team up with other political families from Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Muzzafargarh, Lodhran, and Multan.

Numerous “important leaders” from Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, according to the sources, have also gotten in touch with the former PTI leader.

According to sources, Tareen will serve as the party’s patron-in-chief.

Before being removed from politics in 2017, Tareen served as the PTI’s secretary general. Hanif Abbasi, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), had petitioned the Supreme Court to remove Tareen for being “dishonest” and finding him ineligible for office.

Abbasi had petitioned the Supreme Court to have Tareen and PTI Chairman Imran Khan disqualified.

Tareen was instrumental in persuading independent MPs to join the Imran Khan-led party following the 2018 elections despite being disqualified and remaining a PTI member. His efforts were crucial in helping Khan win the position of prime minister in 2018.

However, after taking office, Aleem Khan, Tareen, and the PTI’s relationship with the party deteriorated.

The former prime minister explained his issues with both leaders in May 2022 and said that they both wanted “illegal benefits from him.”

Speaking on a podcast, Khan asserted that their conflicts arose from his refusal to comply with their wishes.

Aleem Khan expected me to legalise his 300-acre property next to Ravi, according to Khan, who continued, “from that point on, I had disagreements with him.”
