They allege that a 32-year-old man assaulted a 90-year-old man. The person was attacked and stabbed with a knife. When the police arrived, they found the elderly man dead on the spot.
In this, the authorities arrested a 32-year-old man from the scene. Police identified the victim as Antonio Alonge. It was the 22nd homicide in the city this year. The suspect, Massimo Alonzi, has been charged with second-degree murder, police said. Police had earlier said that the suspect and the victim were family members and confirmed that the suspect is the victim’s grandson. Police have not yet released a motive for the murder.
