Man, Woman Arrested After Multiple Failed Carjacking Attempts In Calgary

 Canada Global(Web News)A man and a woman were arrested on Sunday after several attempted carjackings in Calgary.

According to a spokesperson for the Calgary Police Service, the attempts took place between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. in the neighborhoods of Pennridge, Falconridge and Rundle.

The man and woman, aged 21 and 22 respectively, were driving a stolen truck and drove into neighborhoods to try to carjack the vehicles, but all attempts were unsuccessful, police said.

Police said that the owner of the car fled in the incident that took place in Pannerage. In Rondle’s case, the man and woman did not know how to drive a manual car.

Police also said several people tried to discourage the carjacking in Falconridge.

According to CPS, the man and woman eventually crashed the truck in the area of ​​the Village Square Leisure Center and fled on foot. Police added that the truck was a Ford F-150 that was stolen between 12 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. from an unknown neighborhood in the Northeast.

Police found and arrested the couple in the backyard of a residence in Pennridge.
The two have not yet been charged but could face multiple charges, police said.
