Loyalist Colleges in Ontario – Programs and Scholarships

Canada Global(Web News)One of the best colleges in Canada is Loyalist College in Ontario, founded in 1967 and still the only post-secondary institution in the region. By 1968, the college had a permanent home in the Pioneer Building along Walbridge-Lowest Road on more than 200 acres in the beautiful Bay of Quinte area.

In 1969, Ontario’s Minister of Education, William G. Davis, launched a ceremonial dynamite charge to begin construction of the Loyalists’ main Kent Building. Since Loyal College’s founding in Ontario, it has been a close-knit community college where students’ priorities and success come first.

Currently, the college offers more than 60 full-time programs. Apprenticeships Hundreds of online, distance, and in-class courses; and continuing education opportunities through more than 70 university transfer agreements. The college is located in Ontario, one of Canada’s 13 provinces and territories in east-central Canada.

It is Canada’s most populous province, accounting for 38.3% of its population, and the second largest province by total area. However, in terms of employed graduates, 87.4 percent of recent college graduates found employment within six months of graduation, according to provincial key performance indicator (KPI) results released in April.
