Election Postponement Resolution, Contempt Of Court Petition Filed Against Senate Members

 Canada Global(Web News) After the resolution to postpone the elections was approved in the Senate, a petition for contempt of court action was filed against the Chairman of the Senate and the members.

 Yesterday, a resolution was presented in the Senate to postpone the elections, which was approved, now a lawyer has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against those who passed this resolution. The petitioner’s lawyer Ishtiaq Ahmed has said that in the Senate The approved resolution falls under the category of contempt of court, contempt of court action should be taken against the Senate chairman and members.

It should be noted that in the session chaired by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, there were 14 members present in the House at the time of approval of the resolution. Tangi remained silent while PML-N Senator Afnanullah opposed the resolution.
