The Prime Minister said that the International Anti-Corruption Day is being celebrated today. He expressed regret that the previous government put political opponents behind bars on frivolous charges of corruption.
Describing corruption as a major national problem, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that serious efforts should be made to eradicate it instead of using it for political sloganeering and point scoring.

The Prime Minister urged all the political circles to prepare a clear road map to get rid of corruption. He said that in the light of Islamic principles, efforts should be made to strengthen institutions to end this scourge.
