Canada Global (Web News) Former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar was denounced by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif in a statement released on Tuesday, who said that Nisar had defied the law and disrespected the constitution.
Nawaz Sharif expressed his displeasure with the former chief justice, complaining that he was unable to speak candidly about Mr. Nisar while on the podium.
He continued by saying that everyone who violates the law ought to be imprisoned immediately.
Following similar accusations made by Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, the former Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Mr. Sharif made his remarks. In a statement released yesterday, Mr. Siddiqui accused Nisar of several infractions, casting doubt on his character and suitability for office.
Najam Saqib, the son of former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, was recently heard requesting money for allegedly giving the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s ticket to a candidate from PP 137 in an alleged audio leak.
