Canada Global (Web News) In the Lasbela district of Balochistan on Sunday, a speeding passenger coach crashed into a ravine, killing at least 39 people and injuring a number of others.
The passenger coach was on its way from Quetta to Karachi when it crashed into the ravine and caught fire, according to officials from the local government and rescue efforts.
There were 48 passengers in the carriage, according to the Lasbela Assistant Commissioner (AC). He said that when doing a U-turn close to Lasbela, the coach struck a bridge post due to overspeeding. The car then accelerated down a ravine and caught fire.
Up to this far, 39 bodies have been found inside the burned-out car, and other injured people have also been rescued. As soon as the event was reported, the fire tenders and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and put out the flames.
The rescue effort is in progress. The victims found in the debris, according to the authorities, were unrecognisable.
