 Canada Global(Web News) The exciting event of climbing the 1776 steps of the Brampton CN Tower is held twice a year in the months of April and October. WF is sponsored by ‘Climb for Nature’ and the month of October is sponsored by ‘United Climb Up’. Both these events are attended by thousands of people every year. Members of the Toronto Pearson Airport Runners Club (TPAR Club), active in Brampton for the past 10 years, also participate in these events with great enthusiasm. Sometimes they join it as a team and sometimes individually.

Year 2024 Damid-Spring ‘W. The WWF Climb for Nature’ event is taking place on 20th and 21st April and the club is participating as a team on 20th April. About two dozen members of the club have registered their names so far. They need to prepare it to climb the 1776 steps of the CN Tower. For this, they practice climbing the stairs of a multi-storey building every week on the weekend to adapt their body and ‘bend the tail’ accordingly. To begin the exercise, they gathered at 18 Knightsbridge Road last week on March 3 and began by climbing the stairs of a building there.
Event organizers charge a fee of $150 per person to attend the event and a large portion of the fee collected is donated to charity. Members who register as a TPAR Club Team before March 22nd will be covered for the ‘Dream Big and Stargate’ at $20 per member and thus complete their registration by that date with a fee of $130. can.

It should be noted that in the ‘Midfall event’ of October 2023, Surinder Singh Nagra, an active member of this club, set a record by climbing these stairs at the age of 71 in 18 minutes and 24 seconds. age categories. Keeping this in mind, to encourage the members of the club, the organizers of the club will give a prize of $500 to those above 70 years of age to break Surendra Nagra’s record.
