Canada Global(Web News) An Indian woman who has not cut her hair for 32 years has won the Guinness World Record for longest hair.
Smita Shrivastava, 46, from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, hasn’t cut her hair since she was 14 and now has 7 feet 9 inches of hair.
Smita, who holds the record for the person with the longest hair in the world, told Guinness World Records that she was inspired by the long hair styles of Hindi film actresses of the 1980s.
He said that in Indian culture, goddesses traditionally had very long hair. In Indian society, cutting hair is considered a bad omen, so women grow their hair.
Smita said that she has no plans to cut her hair in the near future.
