Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has reacted to India’s baseless allegations after the Pahalgam attack in occupied Kashmir. Shahid Afridi has said in his statement that India prematurely held Pakistan responsible for the incident in occupied Kashmir. It is regrettable that India is holding Pakistan responsible without evidence. The former captain said that Pakistan is facing terrorism, regrets the loss of human lives in occupied Kashmir and the increasing terrorist attacks in Pakistan. Shahid Afridi said that diplomatic talks between Pakistan and India are the only solution to the problems, nothing can be achieved through fighting and cricket should not be a part of politics. It should be noted that tensions between Pakistan and India have increased after the death of 26 Indian tourists in the Pahalgam area of occupied Kashmir. Pakistan has also reacted forcefully to India’s actions, including the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty.

Shaheen Shah Afridi all set for comeback
Canada Global (Web News) Shaheen Afridi, a fast bowler for Pakistan, has “completely recovered” from the injury that has kept him out of action since November of last year and is prepared to return to the field.
Shaheen told the reporters, “I have about 55 overs under my belt during practise, and I’m ready to play in all types of cricket.”
The speedster told the press that he was bowling like he did before the injury and that he is now prepared to return to the field.
Since the 22-year-old sustained a knee injury during the T20 World Cup 2022 final against England on November 13, he is not now a member of Pakistan’s team.

Shahid Afridi reveals selection criteria for T20 batters
Canada Global (Web News) Shahid Afridi, Pakistan’s newly appointed interim chief selector, revealed that domestic players with strike rates of less than 130 or 135 will not be selected to represent the country in the T20 format.
In an interview with a private channel, the former Pakistan captain described his job as chief selector as “difficult,” saying it is difficult to please everyone while holding this position.
The flamboyant all-rounder of his era also stated that he is meeting with the players and management one on one.
“The team and the selection committee are on the same page,” he said.
Afridi expressed his displeasure with the test pitches used against New Zealand, claiming that they were inadequate. He claimed that he agreed to build a bounce track after requesting one from the groundskeepers.
The temporary chief selector added that the pitches are unhelpful since they need the bowlers to exert a lot of effort to control runs. How would we play the pitches in South Africa and England if we don’t practise on home soil, he pondered.
