Canada Global (Web News) After recently meeting with senior corporate officials, John Podesta, a senior adviser in the White House, declared that Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) is “fully committed” to electric vehicles.
Podesta stated that the Japanese carmaker “had been the laggard” but was now committed to electric vehicles during a roundtable conversation with Reuters reporters and editors on Tuesday.
“I think they’re going to stick with plug-in hybrids for a while, maybe longer than some of the other companies, but they’re fully committed now under their new leadership to electrification,” he added.
