Maryam criticises Khan following the Toshakhana gifts controversy.

Canada Global (Web News) After the ToshaKhana gifts controversy, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice-President Maryam Nawaz slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter to demand that PTI Chairman Imran Khan explain the watch that the Saudi crown prince gave him.

According to the PML-leader, N’s “Show the receipts, not the receipts! Tell me the name of the person who sold the watch. Tell me how the money got to Pakistan. The person who called others thieves turned out to be Pakistan’s biggest thief.”

PTI Chairman Imran Khan, on the other hand, has announced that he will take legal action in response to allegations that Toshakhana gifts were sold.

In a tweet, former Prime Minister Imran Khan claimed that a baseless story was concocted by a known fraudster and internationally wanted criminal.

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced that he will sue the ‘fraudster’ not only in Pakistan, but also in the United Kingdom (UK) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (UAE).

A day earlier, it was revealed that Shahzad Akbar sold a priceless Graff watch worth at least 7.5 million Dirhams to Dubai businessman Umar Farooq Zahoor, which was given to former Prime Minister Imran Khan by Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

Buyer alleges he gave Farah Khan USD 2 million to purchase Toshakahana gifts.

Canada Global (Web News) Umar Farooq Zahoor, a businessman based in Dubai, asserted on Tuesday that the PTI administration sold a pricey Graff wristwatch that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman had given to the previous prime minister Imran Khan for $2 million, or about Rs280 million at the time of sale in 2019.

After the Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified the leader of the PTI for making “false statements and erroneous declarations,” the Toshakhana controversy surrounding the sale of state goods that Imran Khan had received became a significant thorn in the side of national politics.

After months of avoiding the subject, Mr. Khan finally acknowledged in a letter response he had sold at least four gifts he had acquired while serving as prime minister on September 8.

According to reports, Mr. Zahoor is a well-known business figure who has been wanted since 2009 or 2010 in Pakistan, Turkey, Norway, and Switzerland for a variety of financial and other offences.

Mr. Zahoor stated in the interview that he met Farah Khan in Dubai and became immediately intrigued by the artefacts since they were “unique and precious.”

When Mr. Zahoor first saw the watch, he was amazed since it was a “limited edition piece, very rare in the globe,” he remembered. He claimed to have also had the watch appraised.

He claimed that during talks, “They [the PTI] wanted to sell the watch for $4 to $5 million, but I purchased it for $2 million,” adding that Farah Khan insisted on cash payments.

“As soon as the payment was received, [she] called Shahzad Akbar to let him know the business was completed and to thank him for putting her in touch with me.

Imran is now a ‘political terrorist,’ not a stakeholder: Maryam

Imran Khan, the former prime minister and leader of the PTI, is no longer involved in Pakistani politics, according to PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, and the coalition government is unfazed by his protracted march toward Islamabad, which began on October 28.

We won’t pay attention to the demands of ‘armed groups,’ whether PTI brings 2,000 or 20,000 people. They do not practise democracy. They are terrorists on the political right, she declared during a press appearance on Tuesday in London.

While referring to Imran as a “political terrorist,” Maryam claimed that his Haqeeqi Azadi March to the federal capital was intended to exert pressure on the current administration on the appointment of the army chief.

Maryam claimed that the DG ISI exposed Imran’s “lying” that he met the army commander at night to present his “unconstitutional” demands. She was referring to the unusual news conference of key military leaders.

“Under pressure, they [military chiefs] declined to speak at the news conference. To defend the national interest, it was vital to present the opposing facts, she continued.

Imran is attempting to prevent the current administration from picking the next army commander, according to the PML-N stalwart, by making divisive statements during public rallies and the long march.

She claimed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has a legal and constitutional right to pick the military commander. Imran Khan should be aware that the appointment process will be amicable.

Regarding the Toshakhana allusion, Maryam claimed that the former premier’s exclusion from the lawsuit was only the “tip of the iceberg”.

Did the establishment urge you to procure gifts from the Toshakahan Depository or designate Bushra Bibi, the former first lady, as your front woman? she questioned.

Maryam claimed that her party has criticised the ruling class for improving and changing course.

Regarding Imran’s criticism that the establishment failed to protect his government from the “foreign conspiracy,” she remarked, “They are protectors of the country… they are not saviours of Bani Gala.”
