Suspect sought after Toronto woman sexually assaulted walking to her home: police

Canada Global (Web News) Following a woman’s claim that she was sexually assaulted on Monday night while she was walking to her home, Toronto police say they are looking for a suspect.

The woman was reportedly returning home in the vicinity of Birchmount Road and St. Clair Avenue East at about 9:30 p.m., according to police.

According to police, the victim claimed she noticed the suspect was following her as she was walking.

Police said that when she approached her house, the suspect allegedly followed her, grabbed her, and sexually attacked her.

According to authorities, the woman was able to beat off the suspect and enter her house.

He then walked away from the scene.

The suspect, according to the police, is a male with a clean-shaven face. He was last spotted with a dark-colored bag and a black hooded jumper on.

Police are asking anyone who saw the crime, lives nearby and has security film, or was travelling in the vicinity at the time and has dash camera evidence to get in touch with them.
