Canada Global News (Web News) President of the country Dr. Arif Alvi will present awards to the newly elected top military leaders in recognition of their valuable services in a ceremony today.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Chief of Army Staff (COAS). General Asim Munir will be awarded Nishan Imtiaz (Military).
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf and federal ministers will participate in the ceremony.
General Retired General Qamar Javed Bajwa was replaced by General Asim Munir as the new Army Chief, while General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has been appointed in place of General Nadeem Raza.
