Ontario man set to appear in court for lethal powder case

Canada Global (Web News) Today’s court appearance is scheduled for a 57-year-old Mississauga, Ontario man who is charged with providing a fatal poison to individuals who were contemplating suicide.

After looking into two recent local fatalities, Peel Regional Police detained Kenneth Law earlier this month and charged him on two counts of counselling or helping suicide.

According to Peel police, the man advertised and sold sodium nitrite, a chemical that is frequently used to cure meat but has the potential to be fatal.

At least 1,200 packages were allegedly sent to 40 nations, according to their research.

Following the claims, several additional Canadian police forces are revisiting earlier killings.

According to the Office of the Chief Coroner in Ontario, at least 37 persons have died as a result of sodium nitrite poisoning in the last five years.
