Ontario’s lobbyist registry, a lawyer who has long represented Marineland claims that one of the organization’s sales-related lobbying objectives is.
According to Andrew Burns, the park is looking into potential zoning modifications to permit development.
He claims that in order to expand its operations, the park is also searching for possible financial support and tax breaks.
A request for comment was not answered by Marineland or Burns.
There has been no communication with Marineland, according to a spokesman for Tourism Minister Neil Lumsden.
