Canada Global(Web News) India has signed an agreement to purchase nuclear-capable BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles for its navy at a cost of $2.36 billion
An official statement said that the Indian Ministry of Defense has entered into an agreement with BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd for the purchase of BrahMos missiles and the missiles will be used to meet the fleet and training needs of the Indian Navy. The ministry said the deal is among five
major capital acquisition agreements signed by the Indian defense ministry to “further boost the Make in India initiative”.
These include procurement of aero engines, close-in weapon systems, and high-power radar and airborne BrahMos systems for the Indian Defense Forces.
