Govt decides to create new board to improve telecom services

Canada Global (Web News) On Friday, the federal government made the decision to create the Universal Service Fund (USF), a new board for the growth of telecom services throughout the nation.

The federal cabinet has reportedly given the Ministry of Information Technology (IT) approval to establish USF, a new board for the development of telecommunication services, with members who are subject-matter specialists.

According to sources, the chairman of the USF Board would be the secretary of IT, and the board will also include the chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and other telecom members.
