Canada Global (Web News) In two separate events on Thursday, unidentified gunmen murdered eight instructors in Parachinar, leading the Kohat board to postpone the current matriculation exam.
In the staff room of Teri Mengal School, unknown assailants allegedly opened fire on teachers who were in charge of administering exams. The other incident was Muhammad Sharif, a teacher, who was slain while driving on Shalozan Road.
In order to find the attackers, police initiated a search operation, and rescue workers moved the bodies to Parachinar Hospital.
Rehmat Salam Khattak, an education advisor to the KP interim administration, stated that the revised matric test timetable would be released after things returned to normal.
The act was denounced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who also requested a report from the relevant authorities.
The PM conveyed his profound sadness over the fatalities brought on by the shooting in Kurram district. Along with sending his condolences to the relatives of the deceased, he also prayed for the injured party’s speedy recovery.
The PM instructed the pertinent agencies to submit a thorough report on the occurrence. He emphasised the importance of swiftly bringing those accountable for this horrible conduct to justice.
President Dr. Arif Alvi denounced the incident and begged the victims for forgiveness.
