Diwali fireworks burn house in UK; 5 people including children were killed

Canada Global(Web News)A fire in the house of a Hindu family of Afghani origin took the lives of 5 people, including 3 children, within seconds.

According to the British media, a British family who emigrated from Afghanistan lived in this house. Kishan and Seema Kishan had three children while two guests were also staying over due to Diwali.

Neighbors say the fire first started in a dust bin outside the house and spread throughout the house in less than 10 seconds. Kishan was seen shouting “my baby my baby”.

Kishan was shifted to the hospital where his condition is said to be out of danger, but his wife and three children were badly burned in the fire. A guest also succumbed to her injuries.

Eyewitnesses told the police that the fire may have been caused by fireworks set off during the Diwali festival. Hindus and Sikhs live in large numbers in the area where the affected house was located.

On the occasion of Diwali, there was a lot of fireworks going on in the area, some explosives or sparks probably fell into the first dust bin and from there the fire spread into the house.
