All terrorists neutralised as LEAs clear Karachi police head office building

Canada Global (Web News) Before clearing the main Sharea Faisal location of the Karachi police headquarters, which was attacked on Friday night, law enforcement officials killed at least three terrorists.

After several hours, security troops retook the structure and killed three militants, according to a government spokesman. A security search was in progress as bomb disposal specialists and police commandos entered the structure.

18 people were hurt, and four persons—two police officers, a member of the Rangers, and a staff member—were martyred.

There was also the sound of a bomb explosion, which started a fire. Nevertheless, the Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) claimed that the police had come across the terrorists on the fourth story of the building and had killed two of them as a result. But there are still more terrorists inside the structure.

According to sources, the shooting at Shahrah-e-Faisal, close to the police headquarters, sent shockwaves through the city and caused the locals to become fearful. They claimed that while security personnel were still present in the office, the terrorists fired grenades from behind the police station.
