What Medical Problems Do Night Shift Workers Face?

Canada Global(Web News) A new study has found that more than half of night shift workers have at least one sleep-related medical problem.

According to data from the US Bureau of Labor, about 15 percent of American workers do not have a day shift schedule. Marek Lancel said that working at night disrupts the body’s ‘clock.’ About 51 percent of people who work nights have at least one medical problem related to sleep, he said.
Dr Marek added that working night shifts consistently leads to poorer sleep compared to working daytime shifts.
The doctor added that there is a lot of evidence that night shifts reduce sleep quality, but little information is available on how different shift jobs affect sleep disorders.
