Canada Global(Web News)Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prisons Department has started a video call service using modern technology to communicate between prisoners and their families.
To get the service, two cells have been established in the police stations of different cities of the province, where the facility of webcam connected to the computer is also available.
It seems that the prisoners are satisfied with this initiative of the prisons department. Prisoners from remote areas say that earlier they had to wait for several days to meet their relatives, but now the distance has been reduced with the help of video call service.
The families of the prisoners also welcomed the video call service and said that they are grateful to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prisons Department for this initiative.
Jail officials said that by providing video call facilities in different jails of the province, the travel expenses of those coming from remote areas will be reduced.
