Investigators said a woman was putting groceries in her car in the area of Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue just after 3:30 p.m. when two boys drove away. Police say that at the time of the car theft, there were two children aged five years and four months in the car.
The police managed to locate the car closely and the two suspects left the car and fled on foot. A 13-year-old boy was arrested after a short chase. A 16-year-old boy was also found hiding nearby and was also taken into custody. One child was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries, police said.
