The development comes as Musk’s strategy to reduce Twitter’s costs globally
The company has just over 200 employees in India, with just over a dozen left after mass layoffs.
Recent job cuts for Twitter in India have targeted product and engineering teams. Teams are working for the micro-blogging site on a global mandate, people say.
Bloomberg reported that his departments, including corporate communications, marketing and public policy, were also downgraded. The company in San Francisco has reduced its workforce to about half of its total headcount.
Globally, the company has only 3,700 employees left. Those still employed by the company are being pressured by Musk to ship new features
