Trudeau will fly to San Francisco today to attend the APEC summit in a new Airbus

Canada Global(Web News) On Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will travel in the new Airbus A330 on his way to San Francisco to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. This will be the first inaugural flight of this new government Airbus.

Nine aircraft have been selected to replace Canada’s aging Polaris fleet, including the A330 Airbus. The aging Polaris fleet has been giving Trudeau travel headaches for years and a recent example of this was seen at the G20 summit in India when the Prime Minister of Canada’s plane broke down.
This new fleet has cost $3.6 billion and is named the CC-330 Husky. The fleet consists of four new aircraft and five used aircraft, which have been purchased from a Kuwaiti company. At least one of these aircraft will be used to transport VIPs while others will be used for military transport and air-to-air refueling of NATO aircraft.
