Tosha Khana Case: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrant suspended

Canada Global(Web News)The Accountability Court of Islamabad has suspended the arrest warrant of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Tosha Khana case.

Islamabad Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the request of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif to suspend the warrant in the Tosha Khana case, Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Qazi Misbah and NAB prosecutor appeared before the court.

Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer said that Nawaz Sharif wants to face the cases in the court and will reach Pakistan on October 21. The court is requested to suspend the warrant till the 24th.

Judge Muhammad Basheer called for the record of Nawaz Sharif’s case, the judge spoke to the lawyer saying that you get enough cases, to which Qazi Misbah said that only the client’s trust is on us.

Lawyer Safai Qazi Misbah said that why did Nawaz Sharif leave Pakistan? In all the documents, the undertaking has been given by Shahbaz Sharif.

Judge Muhammad Bashir inquired whether he had applied in the High Court, to which Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer said no, he did not approach the High Court in this case. Yes, the warrant was suspended in a similar case of Ishaq Dar.

During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor said that Nawaz Sharif has sought two reliefs, he is saying that he wants to surrender before the court, if he wants to listen to Nawaz Sharif, then suspend the warrant.

After hearing the arguments of the lawyer Safi and the NAB prosecutor, the court reserved its decision on the request of the leader of the Muslim League-N to suspend the warrant.

Later, the accountability court suspended Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrant and said that if Nawaz Sharif does not appear on October 24, further action will be taken.

It should be noted that an application was filed in the Accountability Court on behalf of Nawaz Sharif’s lawyers yesterday.
