The World’s First Sikh Religious Court Was Established In Britain

Canada Global (Web News) The world’s first Sikh religious court was established in London. According to media reports, the Sikh religious court will consist of 30 magistrates and 15 judges. Sikh court spokesperson Baldeep Singh says that domestic violence against Sikh women and children and other issues including divorce will now be able to be resolved in a better way.

Pragana Patel, founder of South All Black Sisters, says that the establishment of a Sikh court will fuel religious fundamentalism. It should be noted that Jewish religious courts and Islamic Sharia Council and Muslim Conciliation Tribunal are also working in Britain.
