The United Nations Security Council Approved A Resolution For A Cease-Fire In Gaza

Canada Global(Web News)The United Nations Security Council has approved a resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan.

The Security Council held a meeting to vote on the ceasefire resolution in the Gaza Strip, in which the resolution was approved.
Among the countries that presented the resolution were Algeria, Japan, Ecuador, Switzerland, South Korea, Malta and other countries.

On the other hand, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in a press conference in Amman that the resolution of the Security Council for the ceasefire is not conditional on the release of Israeli prisoners, but we have emphasized the need for the release of these prisoners.
The Secretary General of the United Nations further said that keeping the people of Gaza alive is the main issue, in the beginning our voice was relatively alone, now the international community is also recognizing it.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry says that they welcome the decision of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan and want a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
