Canada Global(Web News)The General Assembly of the United Nations has unanimously approved the resolution presented for a ceasefire in Gaza, while Israel has been severely criticized in the resolution.
120 countries voted in favor of the resolution presented by the Arab states for a ceasefire in Gaza, while only 14 countries opposed the resolution, 45 countries did not participate in the voting.
The resolution calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, aid access to besieged Gaza and protection of civilians.
It should be noted that after the Security Council did not meet four times in the last two weeks, the General Assembly has approved the ceasefire resolution.
On the other hand, criticizing the resolution passed in favor of the oppressed Palestinians, Israel’s representative Gilad Erdan has said that they have the right to defend themselves.
