According to the World News Agency, the mountains of Siberia have covered a white blanket. The icy winds of the blizzard have frozen everything. In some areas, the temperature reached minus 56 degrees Celsius.
This cold wave also affected the capital Moscow. Temperatures there dropped to minus 10 and flights were also suspended due to the blizzard.
Similarly, in Omyakon region of the Republic of Sakha, located 5 thousand kilometers away from Moscow and in the north-eastern part of Siberia, the temperature reached minus 56 degrees last evening.
The temperature in Sakha’s capital Yakutsk remained minus 50 today, but the Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature will gradually drop in these areas.
