Canada Global(Web News) The General Assembly of the United Nations has unanimously approved the resolution of an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.

According to international media reports, the United Nations, while approving a cease-fire resolution in Gaza, also demanded the access of aid to besieged Gaza and the protection of its citizens. Although the draft resolution prepared by the Arab states is legally binding. It is not binding but it definitely has political weight.

There were 120 votes in favor of the resolution, 45 abstentions and 14 votes against, including Israel and the United States.
After the Security Council failed to meet four times in the last two weeks, the General Assembly passed the ceasefire resolution. A two-thirds majority, excluding abstentions, was required to pass the resolution.
